We do for others because we don't know how to do for ourselves. We do for others because we feel it is the only way to make up for the damage we feel our craziness is doing to society. We do for others because it makes us feel good when nothing else in the whole world does, not even pills. We stay quiet and sit in the corner because others seem so much more needy. We require so little, you and I. A fact which does not sit well with others who would label us as too much to handle. When in truth, all those such as us really need is a bit of understanding, a bit of reciprocation, maybe a touch on the cheek once in a while and a sly wink. The rest of the world is needy. I'd rather be crazy. ~~Aimee

Happy B-day Gran

A few days ago I was sitting, wondering what to do and then I get this message from Naked Girl in a Dress. I don't know if she had just hit her head and was delusional or what but she asked me if I would like to be a featured writer over at Studio 30+. I said "Of course I would! I am crazy not stupid!". So then she told the date (May 5th) she would like me to be featured and well I knew instantly what to write about. So head on over there to read my tribute to my Gran.

Happy Birthday Gran. RIP

Mayo and tomato sandwiches?? Really? Now, if you tell me that you like them on really soft white bread with a little salt and pepper sprinkled on, then I know we're twins. That's my favorite sandwich too. But...only in the summertime with fresh homegrown tomatoes. I hate those damn hot house ones you get the rest of the year.

oh...and a beautiful tribute to your grandmother. It's amazing how some of the smallest details are the ones that are most clear and remembered. I could smell the aquanet as I read this and feel the grief of your loss.

SD, that's the only way I eat 'em.

Miss Rosie, grandmas are great like that aren't they?

Thanks, SD, that was a rough time. It's funny I slept in the funeral home for 5 days, but it wasn't until they were getting ready to take her to the cemetary that I actually looked in the coffin. My family forced me and that is when I lost it and tried to climb inside. I was pretty much sedated after that.
